Air India has recently introduced in-flight Wi-Fi services on select domestic routes, becoming the first Indian airline to offer this feature within the country.
The service is currently available on specific aircraft models, including the Airbus A350, Boeing 787-9, and select Airbus A321neo planes.
Passengers can access the Wi-Fi service on devices such as laptops, tablets, and smartphones running iOS or Android operating systems. To connect, enable Wi-Fi on your device, select the 'Air India Wi-Fi' network, and enter your PNR and last name on the portal. The service is available when the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. During an introductory period, Air India is offering this service complimentary to all passengers.
It's important to note that in-flight Wi-Fi connectivity can be influenced by factors such as satellite coverage, overall bandwidth usage, flight routes, and government regulations. Air India plans to progressively expand Wi-Fi services to additional aircraft in its fleet over time.
